8 years.............

We all have those moments that we can close our eyes and immediately be taken back to that moment. May 25th, 2012 will always be one of those days for me. I can still close my eyes and see Jordan saying goodbye to the LARGE group of friends and family that took up the back-left hand side of the waiting room for 12 hours that day. Giving one last hug and kiss to Taylor, D, and Cory as she bravely walked away to a future with so many unknowns. As, we went upstairs we were both laughing and trying our best to be brave for one another.  She very reluctantly did a short video for me that just said, "I love you Mommy" because I wanted to make sure I had her voice recorded.  As she was wheeled away that morning my world stopped for the next 12hrs.

Fast forward to 8 years and I am amazed at what all Jordan has accomplished and continues to accomplish. Her journey has not been without challenges, but she has overcome any challenge that was or is set in front of her. Her life was forever changed that day, but she did not let it hold her down. That beautiful smile and contagious bravery of hers lights up any room she enters :) She also has an AMAZING prince charming that holds her hand every step of the way.
So, today we will celebrate another "brain surgery” anniversary and reflect on how God has blessed us these past 8 years. With all that is going on in the world today, we are reminded that we should not take this precious life for granted.
Thanks again for all of the continued prayers for my girl & her journey!
