WHAT THE WHAT?!?!?!?!

Well yesterday was follow up scan and appointment day with Dr. Fraser!    I am not going to lie, Jordan was very worried about this scan and appointment and of course that made me worry even more!  Friday we picked her and Cory up and headed to the MRI appointment.  She went right in without much of a wait and came out about 45 minutes later.  This was a sigh of relief for all of us.  She said she felt good about it and believe it or not didn't even ask to look at the pictures!  We then ran some errands to keep our mind off of the scan results. We saw Dr. Fraser later in the afternoon.  Again, there wasn't a long wait.  At this point I am thinking the worst because everything is going too smoothly. The fellow came in and did her assessment and told us the GREAT news that there were no changes on the MRI from the prior scan!  He left the room to go get Dr. Fraser and lets just say HAPPY tears were flowing all around!!   Dr. Fraser came in and of course he took the time to review the images with her and he was very impressed when she was asking to see certain views of the scan! LOL  That's my girl!!!   That is when he gave us the best news ever....no scan for 5 YEARS!!!
We were shocked to hear that time frame and he said if you need me you know where to find me! Again HAPPY TEARS!!
As all of you know that have followed and continue to follow us, there isn't a day that goes by that I am not amazed by Jordan's Journey these last 5 years. I am sure some of you are also just as amazed!   To hear " no scan for 5 years" in the 5th year was absolutely amazing!   Jordan said "Mom I won't know how to act"!!  I am just not sure there are words that really describe home strong and amazing she is!!!!!
Jordan and Cory are settling into their new home and Cooper has went to leave with them! I sure do miss him at the house but I know that Jordan loves having him with her! God sure did know what he was doing when he placed Cory in Jordan's life and I am so lucky that my girl found someone that loves her as much as I do.
We all hope that all of you are enjoying the summer with family and friends....Until next time......PRAY FOR JORDAN!!!

Has it really been 5 years?

WOW...hard to believe that Jordan's Journey began on this day five years ago!  As I look back and reflect on that day I don't think any of us, especially Jordan was prepared for what was to come. That day was the start of a new way of life not only for Jordan but for our family. I can still hear her say "I love you", before being whisked away to the OR room and the emotions of what it was like to see her hours later intubated and to hear her voice for the first time 24+ hours later is still as fresh as it was that day. There were so many unknowns and so many obstacles to overcome, yet Jordan proved every step of the way just how strong she was and how resilient she was to overcome those obstacles! Yes, there were lots of hard times but every obstacle that she overcame made those hard times not seem so damn hard!
Fast forward 5 years and she is as independent as she was before surgery 5 years ago!   She is working doing what she loves, MRI/Xray's at two local hospitals, still has that big smile, and still has that contagious positive spirit about her! One thing is for sure, she does NOT let her deficits hold her back from living! Her and Cory are doing wonderful and just purchased their 1st home!  I am also so very very thankful for Cory and all he has done and continues to do for her on a daily basis!  I am thankful that he figured out how to renew this blog so I could update everyone!! Google sure doesn't make it easy for a technology challenged person!
We have a follow up MRI and appointment in July, so I will be sure to update again then.  Until then,  thank you for the prayers and continued prayers for Jordan and our family!
PRAY FOR JORDAN   &   BRAINS SHOULD NOT BLEED!!!
